Perkins dedicated new distributor for 21 countries in West and Central Africa, Seco Power, is ready to raise the bar on sales, service and support – and help Perkins stamp its brand on a previously under-served part of the globe.
Perkins customers in 21 countries in West and Central Africa can now access the best engine solutions, alongside professional and responsive product support, after Seco Power became the region’s new appointed Perkins distributor.
While Seco Power is a new name in distribution, the company is part of the Secodi Group, which runs high-performing Perkins distributor businesses in France, Finland, Estonia and Spain, as well as in Turkey through Power TK.
Seco Power will provide customers across the region with traditional and customised engine sales, training for customers and their staff, and a full package of value-added aftersales support, comprising parts, repair, overhaul and servicing.
Both OEMs and end users of Perkins engines will benefit from the experience, professionalism and resources that come from dealing with a global engine provider. However, they’ll also enjoy the local focus and customer care that comes from working with locally recruited sales teams and technicians who have detailed knowledge of local markets and conditions.
Seco Power will provide direct support to customers from three local branches located in Ivory Coast, Senegal and Cameroon and will also provide support to other customers from a Technical Help Desk Centre based in Africa.
A further tier of fully trained and supported dealers will operate from multiple locations across the service area supported by Seco Power, meaning customers can keep their Perkins engines running, wherever they choose to do business.
Seco Power’s parent company, Secodi, has a long-established history of exceeding customers’ needs. Formed in 1978, it has grown to become one of Perkins most influential distributors in Europe.
Yannick Billy, CEO of Secodi said: “This is a natural growth path for Secodi as we have been supporting our French, Spanish and Turkish customers acting in Africa for a few years now. Since the creation of Secodi, product support and a local presence have been our main drivers to meet customers’ needs and expectations.”
Jaz Gill, Vice President of global sales, marketing, service and parts at Perkins said: “I’m excited to be working with Seco Power across these key countries in West and Central Africa. I’m confident Seco Power, which can leverage the experience of the wider Secodi distribution group, will deliver a consistent and quality service for our customers.”
From Morocco to the Democratic Republic of Congo: Seco Power will support customers in the following countries:
Ivory Coast, Rwanda, Benin, Republic of the Congo, Burkina Faso, Niger, Togo, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Senegal, Central African Republic, Morocco, Mauritania, Chad, Cameroon, Gambia, Gabon, Mali, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Equatorial Guinea.
