Executive Board
The Executive Board is the supreme management body, second to the Board of Directors. The institution of the Executive Board was established in 2006, and the Board consists of the Chairman, the CEO, the Division Managers and the Administration and Financial Services Manager.
More specifically, the Executive Board shall be comprised as follows:

Michael E. Economakis started his career in Coca-Cola Hellenic. He had been constantly progressing into wider and higher roles within CCH, appointed Commercial Director and Country GM in various operations of CCH and CEO in its subsidiaries. He was, also, CEO of a listed Group of Companies operating in the food sector. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Greek-Nigerian Chamber (GNCCT), member of IoD London and member of the Advisory Board of Global Thinkers Forum, a London based think tank and ecosystem for excellence in leadership with values. The last ten years he served as an Executive vice Chairman and CEO of A.G.Leventis Group (Nig.) Plc, a listed Conglomerate with operations in Automotive, Logistics, Food, Real Estate, Retail. Since May 2020, he is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petros Petropoulos Group of Companies, a Conglomerate that operates in automotive sector, listed in Athens Stock Exchange. He is a member of the investment committee of BFG, a Private Equity firm with investments in Africa. As of October 2020, was also appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of HERRCO, the biggest recovery recycling corporation in Greece, formed by FMCG companies and the Federation of Local Governments.

George V. Papadopoulos is an Economist of the Financial Department of ASOEE. (current Athens University of Economics and Business). He has many years of experience, having held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Accounting Director in multinational industrial and Greek commercial enterprises. Petros Petropoulos SA has been working since 2001, starting as Financial Director and a little later as Financial and Administrative Director. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Company, since its establishment in 2006.

Dimitrios A. Onopas is a Mechanical Engineer from National Technical University of Athens, holds a Master in Manufacturing Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and MBA from ALBA Graduate Business School. He started his carrier as production scheduling engineer in razor factory of Violex Bic. He joined Petros Petropoulos AEBE in 2002. During those years worked as business unit manager of Engines & Boats, Petrogen gen sets and Kubota tractors. In 2013 he was promoted to division manager of automotive machinery division and became a member of company executive committee.

Vassilis J. Pippos has studied Mechanical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and holds an International MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He has many years of experience in positions of responsibility as Sales, Marketing and lately General Manager. From 2003 to 2008 he worked at Chevron and till 2010 at Shell in various roles in the commercial departments of these companies. He joined Petros Petropoulos AEBE in 2010 as an Account Manager in Shell Business Unit. Since then he took over gradually roles of increasing responsibility in the company; in 2012 he was promoted to the role of Marketing & Key Accounts Manager, in 2015 to the role of Sales & Marketing Manager, in 2019 to the role of Shell Business Unit Manager, while in 2020 he became the OSTREA’s General Manager (Division responsible for the sales of Shell lubricants, batteries and tires). At the same time, since 2019 he serves as a member of the Executive Board of the Company.

Theodoros V. Anagnostopoulos qualified as Mechanical Engineer at the National Technical University of Athens and holds an Executive MBA from the ALBA Graduate Business School. He has many years of experience, having held responsible positions as Sales Executive and General Manager. He worked for Shell from 1996 to 2010, acquiring a high level of expertise in a multinational environment, initially working as a Sales Inspector and later as a Sales Manager. In 2007 he became a member of the Country Coordination Team of Shell Hellas, representing the lubricants sector. He has been working for Petros Petropoulos SA since 2010, beginning with the position of General Manager of the OSTREA sector (for the sale of Shell lubricants, batteries and tyres) and the Kubota Agricultural Machinery Business Unit. Since 2013 he has been a member of the Executive Board of the Company, serving as Deputy Chief Executive Officer from 2018 to 2019, in which year he took up the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Ms. Christina Gemelou has been serving as Head of the Internal Audit Unit of PETROS PETROPOULOS S.A. since 2021, possessing significant professional experience in internal auditing, the implementation of the corporate governance framework and the requirements of Law 4706/2020 for listed companies. She is responsible for the design and implementation of the annual internal audit plan, the evaluation of the effectiveness of the Internal Control System, as well as the support of the Audit Committee and Management on matters related to corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
She has professional experience in international auditing organizations, having worked at Ernst & Young Greece (Big Four) and Baker Tilly Greece. Indicatively, she has participated in projects related to the implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the preparation of financial statements, the risk management of financial institutions and the implementation of audit procedures. In addition, she has experience in the field of advertising and marketing, focusing on market research, promotional activities and benchmarking.
Ms. Gemelou holds an MSc in Applied Accounting and Auditing from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Political Sciences from Panteion University. She is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Greece and is registered with the Registry of Internal Auditors of the Economic Chamber of Greece.
