Sectors

More than 5,000 different applications are powered by Perkins engines. We help customers build roads and homes and we provide engines for both standby and prime electricity generation. Our industrial engines are powering the most complex of applications.

Whether on land or on water, our engines are meeting the needs of Perkins customers. We supply engines for construction machines, material handling applications and for agricultural, forest, and lawn and garden uses. We have diesel and gas engines that generate both prime and standby electricity for hotels, hospitals and construction sites and larger schemes to power domestic and business customers. Our gas engines can also provide heat for heating facilities or operations or to drive absorption chillers for cooling. On water, we power vessels from small pleasure craft to large fishing boats both for propulsion and auxiliary electricity generation.

Perkins customers have come to rely on the diverse range and high quality of our products. We supply engines – both diesel and gas powered – for a wide range of applications, both terrestrial and marine

Agriculture

Perkins comes from an agricultural heritage, owned from 1959 to 1998 by the world famous agricultural equipment manufacturer Massey Ferguson.

We power tractors, balers, combines, agricultural mowers, harvesters, sprayers and windrowers.

We provide engines for irrigation sets and for speciality harvesting equipment, including vineyard applications. Our engines are not only powering the machines on farms large and small, they also power the machines for forestry use and for lawn and garden applications.

In the forest, our engines power feller bunchers, forwarders, log loaders, skidders and tree harvesters. For lawn and garden use we have engines for commercial mowers, turf equipment, small tractors and shredders.

Construction

In terms of construction machines, which are known to work their engines hard, we power excavators, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, telehandlers, skidsteer loaders, dumpers, dozers, rock drills, rock crushers, screeners and pavers.

From mini-excavators operating in domestic gardens to 40-tonne excavators deployed on some of the world’s biggest construction and mining operations you’ll find Perkins engines at the heart of the machines.

Engineered using ‘real world’ data and insights from customers, our engines work in harmony with the machine to the exact requirement of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), which for you – the end user – means better performance and improved fuel consumption.
